Lux Cache is a digital platform focused on providing tools, insight and support for experimental music production and music technology, founded by Kai Whiston in 2020.
We pride ourselves on collaborating with an eclectic mix of groundbreaking talent, spanning various genres, styles and backgrounds. Our aim is to offer a wealth of resources and deep insights that empower both emerging and established artists to foster and sustain their innovative musical visions.
We commission tutorials, presentations, sample packs, features, and interviews from artists leading the forefront of innovation in music. Our collaborations have included artists such as u-Ziq, Iglooghost, Rabit, Dorian Electra, Jimmy Edgar, M.E.S.H, Parker Corey (Injury Reserve), Benn Jordan, Dillon Bastan, ELPHNT, Aho Ssan, User Friendly, Matt Cohn, umru, Sarah Belle Reid, Ziur and many more.
Education and outreach form the pillars of our ethos. Recognizing the importance of nurturing the next generation of music producers and technologists, we've extended our expertise beyond the digital realm. Lux Cache has proudly hosted seminars, presentations, and interactive sessions at esteemed educational institutions, including New York University (NYU), the British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM), Access Creative and more. These engagements not only foster a culture of continuous learning but also strengthen the bridge between academia and the ever-evolving world of music production.
