educational access to Lux Cache
Since 2020, Lux Cache has been a growing archive of music production education and resources — artist-led tutorials, video workshops, long-form interviews, and the sample packs and tools to go with them. we license it to universities, colleges, schools and private tutors, so that everyone you teach has access for the full year.

Lux Cache is built on artists being candid about how they actually work. we’ve spent years assembling it, and there is nothing we would rather do with it than place it in the hands of students.
what’s inside
artist-led tutorials
production tutorials led by the artists themselves — their techniques, their sound, and the way a track actually comes together.
video workshops
longer video sessions that follow a process or an idea from beginning to end.
long-form interviews
in-depth interviews with experimental artists on how and why they work the way they do.
music production tools
sample packs, presets and downloads we produce ourselves, ready to bring straight into a project.
where it fits
Lux Cache sits alongside teaching — material students can read, watch and take apart in their own time. it is a focused network on the practical, artist-led side of music.
we’re glad to work in person, or remote
we’ve run workshops and lectures at colleges and conferences, and we’re always glad to do more. tell us what you teach, and we’ll put together a session for your group.
hands-on sessions
in-person sessions on sound design, sampling and process, tailored to your group and their level.
guest lectures
talks on experimental practice, releasing music, and the tools and decisions behind the work.
full-access & updates
students retain access to our complete archive, with constant updates from our frequent release schedule.
why we care
this is the part of our work we care about most. Lux Cache exists because artists were generous in sharing how they work, and passing that on to those starting out feels like exactly where it belongs.
